CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (white card) course

This 1 day white card course is mandatory for any worker wanting to enter a construction or building site

Construction and building sites are necessary to help build the infrastructure, housing and services that we all rely on every day.

However, these sites can also be extremely dangerous and present those working on them with significant risk of injury or worse.

CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course gives workers the skills and knowledge they need to identify and understand the health and safety requirements and legislation that exist to protect themselves and others.

You may know this course as the “white card”.

This nationally recognised course is mandatory for any persons working on a building or construction site in any capacity and is held regularly at our training centres.

Safety knowledge and skills that every worker relies on every day

For all persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU), it is important that everyone involved in a job is aware of their responsibilities for ensuring the work site remains safe.

Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course will teach participants how to identify and report common construction hazards, provide an understanding of basic risk control measures, and identify some procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies.

The course includes instruction in the selection and correct fitting of common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction and building work.
