For the first time, those looking to enter the building and construction industry in New South Wales are able to complete their mandatory “white card” training completely online.
Height Safety Engineers has been approved by WorkSafe NSW to offer this brand new way to complete the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry unit of competency via interactive online video instruction.
The CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work.
It requires a participant to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safely legislative requirements in order to perform work safely as well as prevent injury or harm to themselves and others.
The online course covers all the knowledge and skill areas required, including identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures plus identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents or emergencies.
Participants will also learn about selecting and correctly fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used in construction work.
A participant must be 14 years of age or older to enrol in this course.
