Meet the Team
National Training Operations Manager
Ashley has been heading up the training team at Height Safety Engineers since 2017. His background in height safety and confined space training, also vertical rescue operations, spans 15 years.
His background includes eight years with Fire & Rescue NSW as a retained firefighter. Ashley maintains accreditation as a qualified rescue operator with the Primary Rescue State Board.
Ashley’s career has seen him gain extensive experience working in the mining, mines rescue, construction, utilities, wind energy industries, as well as with emergency services. He has also worked with the Australian Federal Police and Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Army.
In his role at Height Safety Engineers, Ashley handles maintaining our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status and operation of the training business. He achieves this through continual development of our training programs and courses in consultation with industry.
In his spare time, Ashley often adjudicates mines rescue competitions.
NSW Training Operations Manager
Tony joined Height Safety Engineers in February 2020.
Tony has spend most of the last decade working the car rental industry where we oversaw operations across 17 locations in Victoria, as well as at Melbourne Airport.
He brings nearly two decades of operations and management experience to our training team.
Warren joined the team at Height Safety Engineers mid-2019.
He has worked in the safety training industry for the last 15 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.
Warren’s expertise lays in confined space rescue, height safety and asbestos removal. His previous work has involved running industry training courses and assessment as well as auditing and standby work. He has also completed work writing risk assessments, rescue plans and confined space registers.
Before joining us at the start of 2018, Glen spent two decades working in the mining industry. His focus towards the end of that time was in safety and training, including emergency response.
He has volunteered with the NSW State Emergency Service for the last 30 years. Glen holds State Rescue Board accreditation as a rescue operator for road crash rescue and general land rescue.
As an endorsed trainer with the NSW SES, Glen has been training other volunteers in road crash rescue, rescue operations, storm damage operations, flood boat operations, first aid and incident control.
Operations Manager – Dubbo
Ben started with the team in October 2018.
Previously, Ben spent over a decade within the Austrlaian Defence Forces. He has also worked for several years in the mining industry and within the vocational edcuation and training sector.
Ben is a qualified assessor for high-risk work courses.
RTO Compliance Manager
Daniel joined Height Safety Engineers in 2018. He previously worked in the vocational education and training industry.
His previous experience includes working in business management, financial risk management and investigations as well as Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance.
In his role at Height Safety Engineers, Daniel ensures our compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines in the delivery of our training courses.
