This non-accredited course is designed to improve the skills and knowledge of those already working in or seeking to work in the construction industry. This course complements the skills already gained by completing CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course to improve the ability of a participant to effectively and safely contribute in the workplace.
The course covers areas related to asbestos and silica awareness, alcohol and drug policies and testing as well as issues that arise through the manual handling of goods and equipment in an incorrect manner.
Workplace Impairment Awareness Training provides participants with the knowledge and awareness in regards to impairment in the workplace. The course complements the existing CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course to give workers additional knowledge to effectively and safely contribute in the workplace.
Participants will learn about the Workplace Health and Safety Act, 2011 as well as duties of care, workplace hazards, effects of heat and cold, dangerous chemicals, fatigue, drug and alcohol impairment and much more.
