Height Safety Engineers have on scope a broad range of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses. First aid courses are for those who may be required to respond to an emergency in the workplace, or in another setting.

First Aid and CPR Training

First aid and CPR training is the course for those looking to become a first aid officer in their workplace, sporting group or other situation. It provides skills in first aid response to an emergency situation and instruction in the performance of CPR.

Gain skills and knowledge in the immediate treatment of anaphylaxis, asthma, seizures, snake and spider bites, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures and more.

HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Gain the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines with this half-day course.

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the perfect course for anyone seeking the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest or any other serious medical incident where CPR may be required.

HLTAID007 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation

This course builds on the skills learned in HLTAID0001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation by providing training in advanced resuscitation skills including automated external defibrillator (AED) and oxygen therapy.

Participants will learn about the importance of defibrillation, safe use of AEDs, use of onopharyngeal airway devices, administering oxygen, safe use of medical oxygen equipment and resuscitation of an non-breathing casualty using ventilation, soft bag and other equipment.

Low Voltage Rescue and CPR

This course teaches a participant how to perform a rescue from a live low-voltage situation, then perform CPR. Specifically, this course is aimed that those working in the context of transmission, distribution or railway functions.

Participants will gain nationally recognised qualifications in HLTAID0001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel.

Advanced First And and Resuscitation

Learn a set of skills to provide an advanced first aid response in the event of an emergency. This course is aimed at designated first aiders, with a focus on the mining, construction and manufacturing industries.

Participants will gain skills in a variety of advanced first aid areas including poisoning and toxic substances, crush injuries, head, neck and spinal injuries, shock management, bone fractures, sprains, respiratory distress, seizures, bleeding and wound care as well as use of AEDs and monitoring vital signs.

HLTSS00027 – Occupational First Aid Skill Set

This course teaches more advanced skills than those covered in entry-level first aid courses. The aim of this course is to equip participants to be able to manage patient care in a complex emergency until the arrival of an ambulance.

Participants will learn advanced resuscitation, oxygen therapy, defibrillator usage, advanced airway management, monitoring of blood pressure and vital signs as well as many other advanced first aid skills and workplace incident management requirements.
